Biography
Paul J. Dougherty, M.D., is medical director at Dougherty Laser Vision and serves on the clinical faculty at UCLA’s Jules Stein Eye Institute. Dr. Dougherty attended UCLA Medical School, where he graduated first in his class. He completed his residency at UCLA's Jules Stein Eye Institute and did his refractive surgery fellowship under Richard Lindstrom, M.D. Since 1995, Dr. Dougherty has helped develop new ophthalmic technologies as a Principal Investigator in multiple FDA trials, has served on the editorial board of the Journal of Refractive Surgery and is routinely featured in national news media including ABC’s Nightline and The Oprah Winfrey Show
